This Ballistic Car demonstrates that the horizontal component of the velocity of a body thrown vertically upward from another body moving horizontally is the same as that of the body moving horizontally and independent of the vertical component of velocity.
The apparatus consists of a heavy metallic barrel mounted vertically on an aluminium car.
The car has plastic wheels with ball bearings to minimize friction.· Spring loaded piston arrangement.
