A low cost apparatus for the demonstration of the Rutherford scattering by means of a gravitational analog of inverse square law repulsion.
Comprises a wooden launching lamp about 300 x 50 x 105mm (LxWxH) with a guiding groove running down its curved front face along its length and index marks at 40,60, 80 and 100mm height above the base that provides 4 pre-determined launching heights. Also included is a spun aluminium hill about 280mm diameter and 60mm height along with a 19mm steel ball.
