Porcelain. Maximum temperature 850 deg C. Suitable for small scale heating, ashing, small scale fusion, gravimetric analysis, high-temperature reactions or some other analytical chemical experiments or demonstrations. Porcelain crucibles are incompatible with HF and alkali salts.
Care must be taken when heating and handling at high temperatures - use appropriate, heat resistant gloves and safety shield. Place hot crucible on a heat resistant surface to allow to cool before handling dish.
