· Demonstrate the heat conductivity of metals
· Metal strips - one each of: copper, brass, iron and aluminium
· Fixed to a 13cm diameter wooden ring
· Depressions at the end of each strip to place wax piece
· Compare the heat conductivity of each metal by observing the melting of each piece of wax
NOTE: Do not use on a Bunsen burner as it will damage the metal strips. Use an alcohol burner (Codes: LW1557-01) due to its lower heat level. Care should be taken when dealing with heat sources.
