This kit is used to investigate how wire diameter and length affect the resistance of wires. All wires are of the same material but different diameter. The Resistance Board also allows students to experiment with how resistors / resistance wires work in both Series and Parallel.
The Resistance board set contains:
· Resistance board
· Multimeter (with 2 leads with probes)
· Banana plug to alligator clip wire – wire length is 45cm
· Teacher’s Notes & Student Workbook
For further investigation of resistance, use in conjunction with Resistance Boards EM1088018 (Equal length) & EM1088018 (Mixed material – equal length).
