Apparatus to investigate and calculate the resistivity of the same resistance wire of equal length but different diameters (gauges). How does the diameter (and therefore the cross-sectional area) of a wire affect resistivity? Comprises of a set of 8 nichrome wires, each 60cm long, of different gauges mounted on a timber laminate board with decimeter increments. The board dimensions are 65 cm long by 22 cm wide.
Requires a Multimeter (with 2 leads with probes) and Banana plugs.

For further investigation, can be used in conjunction with RESISTANCE BOARD - MIXED MATERIALS - EQUAL LENGTH & SAME DIAMETER (Code: EM1088019) and / or RESISTANCE BOARD - 3 WIRES WITH DIFFERENT DIAMETERS AND LENGTHS (Code: AR3835/185).
